Promoting Awareness of Cervical Cancer Prevention
Under the annual theme “Grow and Flourish,” the Rotary Club of
Alexandria and the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria, in collaboration with
the African Women’s Health Center, organized an awareness seminar on
Monday, 26 October 2026, highlighting cervical cancer prevention through
HPV vaccination, regular screening, and early detection.
The seminar was attended by representatives of civil society
organizations and young female Scout leaders. Discussions emphasized the
importance of HPV vaccination, correcting misconceptions, consulting
reliable medical sources, and continuing regular screening even after
vaccination.
The initiative highlighted the importance of community collaboration in
promoting health awareness and encouraging preventive practices to
protect women’s health.
