Celebrating 20 Years of Friendship, Service, and Achievement
Under the theme “Step Up and Lead by Example,” the Inner Wheel Club
of Petra, under the presidency of Mrs. Mai Al-Masri and with the
participation of the board members, organized a distinguished dinner
celebration on May 19, 2026, at the courtyard of the Royal Automobile
Museum in Amman, marking the 20th anniversary of the club’s
establishment in 2006.
The evening was filled with warmth, loyalty, and pride in a remarkable
journey of service and achievement.
The celebration was honored by the presence of Mrs. Alia Alayyan, Vice
Chairman of District 95 (Egypt and Jordan), and Mrs. Nuha Asfour,
District 95 Editor, alongside members from the Inner Wheel Clubs of
Amman, Philadelphia, and Black Iris, in an atmosphere of joy and
fellowship.
The evening included moments of appreciation and recognition for Mrs.
Samia Abu El Fotouh, District 95 Chairman during the founding year in
2006, who took the initiative to establish several young clubs that year
in both Egypt and Jordan.
The club also honored Mrs. Ghania Al-Tayeh and Mrs. Alia Abu Al-Ragheb
in recognition of their significant efforts in founding the club and for
their continued support, love, and dedication throughout its journey
over the years.
The Club President further honored Mrs. Sineen Shahabi on the occasion
of receiving her Active Honorary Membership Pin, while Mrs. Suzan
Al-Tayeh and Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Ragheb were awarded honorary pins in
appreciation of their continuous support and sincere dedication to the
club.
Mrs. Dina Al-Alawneh was also recognized for her efforts in establishing
the Inner Wheel Club of Black Iris. In addition, the President
individually honored each board member in appreciation of their efforts
and contributions throughout the year.
As a gesture of gratitude and appreciation, the Club President extended
special thanks to Mrs. Alia Alayyan, Mrs. Nuha Asfour, and Mrs. Jumana
Al-Masri for their continuous support and steadfast encouragement of the
club.
The club also congratulated Mrs. Mayada Touqan on her appointment as
Vice Chairman of District 95 for the upcoming Inner Wheel year, as well
as Mrs. Nahla Sweis and Mrs. Rima Qawar on their appointments as
International Board Directors.
Special thanks were extended to the evening’s master of ceremonies,
Mrs. Faten Al-Saudi, whose gracious presence and warm spirit added a
special sense of warmth and affection to the celebration.
The evening concluded with guests enjoying a delightful dinner
accompanied by music, in a memorable celebration marking twenty years of
friendship, service, and humanitarian work, leaving behind beautiful
memories that will long remain in the hearts of all who attended.
