Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek Visit to Shefaa Al-Orman Hospital – Luxor
Donation Cost 2,500,000 EGP

In line with the objectives of Inner Wheel to provide distinguished and
sustainable service to the community, and as part of its continuous and
long-standing activities, the Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek organized an
official visit to Shefaa Al-Orman Hospital in Luxor.

The visiting delegation was headed by Mrs. Salwa Zaki and accompanied by
the National Representative of District 95 Egypt & Jordan, Mrs. Samia
Abou El Fotouh.

Shefaa Al-Orman Hospital is recognized as the first specialized hospital
in Upper Egypt to provide integrated medical services for cancer
patients, with particular attention to pediatric oncology. The hospital
serves patients from the governorates of Upper Egypt and the Red Sea
region, offering treatment entirely free of charge.

During the visit, the delegation attended a comprehensive briefing
delivered by specialized consultants in oncology, hematology,
radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine, who explained the hospital’s
medical capabilities, treatment protocols, and the critical services
provided to patients.

As part of the Club’s humanitarian support, the Inner Wheel Club of
Zamalek presented a cheque amounting to EGP 2,500,000 (two million five
hundred thousand Egyptian pounds) to fund the purchase of an
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining device. This advanced diagnostic
device plays a vital role in identifying the most suitable treatment for
each patient and significantly reduces the need for exploratory surgical
procedures in many cases.

The full cost of this essential medical equipment was covered through
the generous donations of the Club’s members, reflecting their strong
commitment to supporting the healthcare sector and improving the quality
of life of cancer patients.

This initiative reaffirms Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek’s dedication to
community service, healthcare support, and meaningful humanitarian
contribution.
