Orange the World: Together, We Can End Violence Against Women

Orange has become a global symbol of hope, a call for a brighter future
free from violence. In this spirit, the Inner Wheel Club of Amman, led
by President Mrs. Shada Anabtawi, organized a special awareness event on
November 25, bringing together a large number of Inner Wheel members
from District 95 and around the world. Their presence reaffirmed the
power of women’s solidarity in confronting this urgent humanitarian
issue.

Distinguished attendees included:

Mrs. Samia Abu Al-Fotouh – National Representative of Egypt

Mrs. Hanaa El-Sadat – District 95 Chairman (Egypt & Jordan)

Mrs. Abeer Al-Dajani – Past District Chairman

Mrs. Nuha Asfour – District Editor

Mrs. Jumana Al-Masri – Former International Board Member

Mrs. Nahla Sweis – Past National Representative

International guests also participated:

Mrs. Zenaida Farcon – Past International President (Philippines)

Mrs. Jasmine Siri – Member of the IIW Board

Mrs. Preeti Joghnani and Mrs. Prabha Rajundan – India

Mrs. Fairooz Asfour – President, IWC Pordenone (Italy)

The event was organized in partnership with the King Hussein Foundation,
featuring two impactful presentations by:

Mrs. Areej Samreen – Psychological Counselor and Head of the
Protection & Psychosocial Support Department

Dr. Sara Al-Aytan – Head of the Medical Department, Institute for
Health & Family

Both speakers offered comprehensive insights into the roots and forms of
violence, effective prevention strategies, and the critical role of
community solidarity. They emphasized the importance of influencing
decision-makers to achieve real, lasting change that guarantees safety,
dignity, and justice for all women.

The discussions also highlighted key long-term priorities, including
integrating human rights and gender equality education from an early
age, strengthening collaboration among national institutions, and
empowering women socially and economically—pillars essential for
enabling women to build safe, stable futures for themselves and their
families.

Together, we raise our voices. Together, we build a brighter, safer
world for every woman.
