“Writing is Life”: A Literary Evening by Inner Wheel Lotus Egypt and IWC of Nile
Under the theme “ Step up and lead by example” the Inner Wheel Club
of Lotus Egypt hosted a refined literary evening on October 16, 2025, at
El Basha Hall.
The event was attended by the club’s founder, Mrs. Nazek El-Alfy, club
consultant Mrs. Maha Khairy, and club members. It was held in
collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Nile, led by Mrs. Magda
Fahmy, and welcomed several distinguished guests, including former
District 95 Presidents: Mrs. Afaf Abdo Ismail, Mrs. Hala Hegras, Mrs.
Mona Abou El-Fotouh, and former District Secretary Mrs. Omnia Hanna.
The highlight of the evening was a talk by Mrs. Mona Aref, renowned
writer and former District Chairman, titled “Writing is Life”. She
shared her literary journey, reflecting on how writing is born from pain
and becomes a comforting companion to readers. She emphasized the power
of books to inspire, heal, and guide us toward deeper self-awareness and
hope.
The seminar received heartfelt praise from attendees, who were moved by
her words and poetry, making it a soulful and inspiring start to the new
Inner Wheel year.
