Women Empowerment and Child Care
District 95 (Egypt and Jordan)
Women Empowerment and Child Care
On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity”,
IWC of Zamalek, headed by Mrs. Sanaa Eid – accompanied by Mrs. Samia
Aboul Fotouh – National Representative and Mrs. Bahia Al-Maadawy – Club
Vice President and a large group of club members, visited “Eva”
Cosmetics Company, which is considered the pride of the Egyptian
industry and one of the leading companies in the field of manufacturing
personal care products, medicines and food industries, with experience
spanning nearly 100 years in producing more than twenty brands of famous
cosmetics, which are exported to twenty countries around the world.
The group was received by Dr. Yasmine Armanious / Company President, who
accompanied them on an inspection tour of the company’s factories.
The company established a nursery for the children of the workers from
the age of 3 months until the completion of middle school. The workers
bring the children with them to the factory, and they are distributed to
their schools in the company buses and brought in the afternoon to eat
lunch and do homework under the supervision of specialized teachers. All
this is free of charge.
The club visited this pioneering company to encourage the idea of
caring for working women and their children and empowering them
economically and socially. This is in an attempt by NGOs such as IIW to
help spread and replicate this model in mational companies,
organizations and socities.
In appreciation of this wonderful model, the club presented a shield to
Dr. Yasmine Armanious in thanks and appreciation for this great edifice,
wishing her further progress. Some commemorative photos were taken.
