Pink October Awareness Event Organized by Inner Wheel Club of Amman

In alignment with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Inner Wheel Club of
Amman Philadelphia, in collaboration with Abdelhadi Hospital, organized
a special awareness event on the morning of Monday, October 13, 2025.
The event featured a healthy and educational breakfast held at Tarla
Café, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of early detection
of breast cancer and to support women’s health.
The event was opened by Mrs. Hanan Aghabi, President of the Club, who
delivered a warm and welcoming speech. She greeted club members and
their esteemed guests, emphasizing the importance of community
solidarity and empowering women—both physically and emotionally.
Following her, Mrs. Rawan Shahroori, Head of the Mammogram Department at
Abdelhadi Hospital, delivered an insightful awareness talk. She
highlighted the critical importance of early breast cancer screening and
also spoke about osteoporosis screening, encouraging all attendees to
take initiative and schedule their check-ups in a timely manner.
As a thoughtful gesture for Pink October, Abdelhadi Hospital announced
exclusive discounts on mammogram and osteoporosis
screenings—demonstrating its commitment to women’s health and
community education.
The event was filled with an atmosphere of warmth, friendship, and
generous hospitality, leaving a positive and lasting impression on all
attendees. It successfully reinforced the vital message that prevention
and awareness are the first and most effective lines of defense in the
fight against breast cancer.
