Orphans with Special Needs Care Project
Beneficiaries 15
In alignment with the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel
Club (IWC) of New Cairo, under the leadership of Miss Lina Shaker,
continues to prioritize the welfare of orphans and young individuals
with special needs. The club actively provides educational opportunities
and fosters their integration into society.
As part of its third initiative this year, IWC New Cairo organized a
cultural and entertainment excursion for 15 students from the Charitable
Society for Child Welfare for Orphans. The students attended a
performance of “Fares Yakshef El Mastour” by the renowned Mohamed
Sobhi—a play that blends purposeful comedy with themes of education
and patriotism, particularly for younger generations.
Following the performance, Mohamed Sobhi engaged with the students,
taking commemorative photos and sharing moments that made their
first-ever theater experience even more memorable. Meeting such an
iconic figure in Egyptian contemporary theater was an unforgettable
highlight for the children.
The event was attended by Mrs. Nihal ElBakry, IWC New Cairo PP and
former Vice NR of District 95, Mrs. Manuela Al-Wakeel, a member of IWC
New Cairo, and Mrs. Maha Ragab, a member of IWC Sharm El-Sheikh. As the
Charitable Society for Child Welfare is a sustainable project of IWC
Sharm El-Sheikh, IWC New Cairo distributed toys and sweets to the
students, promising a follow-up gathering in the near future.
This initiative exemplifies IWC New Cairo’s ongoing commitment to
empowering young individuals and enriching their lives through
education, culture, and community engagement.
