The ladies of IWC of Amman gathered for a distinguished meeting that
combined valuable knowledge with a noble humanitarian purpose, where
they attended an insightful lecture presented by ophthalmologist Dr.
Qasim Nasser.
Club President Mrs. Shada Anabtawi Al-Khalil warmly welcomed Dr. Qasim
Nasser and the esteemed attendees, emphasizing that the meeting carried
a meaningful humanitarian message, as it aimed to support a young man
undergoing a corneal transplant operation that would give him the chance
to see the light again.
The lecture was divided into two engaging parts. The first focused on
contact lenses, their different types, the benefits of smart lenses, how
they are fitted, and the proper guidelines for their use. The second
part addressed eye aesthetics, including upper and lower eyelid
tightening and eyebrow lifting, while highlighting the importance of
these procedures after skin laxity caused by aging, due to their role in
improving vision in addition to their cosmetic benefits.
The meeting witnessed remarkable interaction from the attendees, with
many questions and inquiries raised, all of which Dr. Nasser answered
with patience, openness, and great care.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Shada thanked Dr. Qasim
Nasser and presented him with a certificate of appreciation from IWC of
Amman in recognition of his valuable time and efforts.
The ladies also enjoyed lunch at the Signia by Hilton restaurant in an
atmosphere filled with warmth, friendship, and affection.
Special thanks to everyone who supported and participated in this event,
helping the club bring hope and light back into the life of a
nineteen-year-old young man.
May God grant us all success in doing good and extending a helping hand
to others.
