Inner Wheel Clubs Visit “Turathna” Handicrafts Exhibition
As part of their commitment to supporting Egyptian handicrafts and
preserving cultural identity, and under this year’s theme “Step up
and Lead by Example”, members of the Inner Wheel Club of Giza, led by
Mrs. Heba Laidl, and the Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx, led by Mrs. Ghada
Barakat, visited the “Turathna” (Our Heritage) Exhibition held at
the Exhibition Grounds on Sunday, October 5th, 2025.
During the visit, the members toured the exhibition’s various sections,
exploring a wide range of handmade products crafted by local Egyptian
artisans. These works reflected the richness and diversity of Egypt’s
cultural heritage, highlighting appreciation and support for the
craftsmen preserving these traditions.
This year’s exhibition also marked the first-ever display of products
by Inner Wheel associations from District 95 (Egypt & Jordan) — a
significant milestone that reinforces the district’s theme and
encourages the active community involvement of Inner Wheel clubs in
empowering women and promoting artisanal production.
The members also visited the Friends of a Bright Tomorrow Association
for the Care of Special Needs and the Inner Wheel booth, where they had
the honor of meeting Mrs. Hanaa El Sadat, Chairman of District 95 (Egypt
& Jordan). Mrs. El Sadat praised the clubs’ participation and commended
the valuable role played by Inner Wheel members in promoting friendship,
service, and community engagement.
This visit embodied one of the core missions of Inner Wheel — to
uphold the values of Friendship, Service, and International
Understanding — through the support of local initiatives and
celebration of Egypt’s rich cultural legacy.a
