Cervical Cancer Awareness Seminar
Emphasizing the Importance of Prevention and Early Detection
Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of
Heliopolis, headed by Mrs. Enayat Saad El-Din, joined forces with the
Nasr City Club, headed by Ms. Jihan Fahim, El Shorouk Club, headed by
Ms. Mervat Shukry, and the Nile Club, headed by Ms. Monica, to organize
an impactful event. The gathering was honored by the presence of Mrs.
Awatif El-Nasharty, D95 Extension Chairman, along with members of the
Inner Wheel Club of Tanta.
We were also privileged to host two distinguished speakers: Dr. Amal
El-Sisi, Professor of Pediatrics at Cairo University, and Dr. Yasra
Lashin, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The speakers provided
valuable insights into the causes and dangers of the virus that leads to
cervical cancer, its potential transmission to children during
pregnancy, and its risks for young people and women. They emphasized the
importance of vaccination as a preventive measure and stressed the need
for regular medical check-ups to ensure early detection. The speakers
further encouraged members to raise awareness within their families and
communities, highlighting that prevention and timely intervention can
save lives.
The meeting was filled with a spirit of love, warmth, and camaraderie,
enriched with vital information. The speakers thoughtfully addressed all
questions and concerns, leaving attendees well-informed and empowered to
take proactive steps toward health and awareness.
