District 95 Egypt and Jordan celebrated International Inner Wheel Day on
January 10, 2026, marking the 102nd anniversary of the founding of Inner
Wheel. The celebration was held at the Semiramis InterContinental Hotel,
in the presence of the National Representative, Mrs. Samia Abou
El-Fotouh, the District Chairman, Mrs. Hanaa El-Sadat, and a large
number of Inner Wheel members.
The event was further honored by the participation of our colleagues
from sisterly Jordan, as well as a delegation from Cyprus, District 96,
headed by the District Chairman, Mrs. Pavlina Kyprianou.
The celebration commenced with the national anthem of the Arab Republic
of Egypt, followed by the Royal Anthem of the Hashemite Kingdom of
Jordan. Mrs. Samia Abou El-Fotouh then delivered her address, extending
her greetings and appreciation to all attendees and emphasizing the
importance of this special day, which embodies the core values of Inner
Wheel: love, friendship, and service to the community.
This was followed by the address of the District Chairman, Mrs. Hanaa
El-Sadat, who warmly welcomed the guests and expressed her sincere
thanks and appreciation to the members of the District for their
outstanding efforts and meaningful contributions in serving the
community. She also conveyed her gratitude to all those who contributed
to the organization and success of this celebration, which represents
the principal annual event of Inner Wheel worldwide.
Following her speech, a short video showcasing the activities and
achievements of the first part of the Inner Wheel year was presented.
The video was directed and produced by the District Webmaster, Dr. Amel
Elghitany.
In addition, the District Newsletter was presented, which was designed
and produced by the District Editor, Mrs. Noha Asfour.
The District Chairman also highlighted the activities of the charitable
organizations supported by Inner Wheel clubs. Representatives of these
institutions, or their delegates, were given the opportunity to address
the audience and shed light on their impactful roles in community
service.
The celebration featured joyful artistic performances, including
Palestinian Dabke and singing, creating an atmosphere filled with
happiness, harmony, and fellowship. The event concluded with the cutting
of the celebration cake and the taking of commemorative photos, marking
a memorable day filled with wishes for continued success and excellence
for all.
