A Night of Giving: Annual Charity Iftar for Orphans and Special Needs Care
Under the Theme “The Heartbeat of Humanity”
On Sunday, March 16, 2025, under the inspiring theme “The Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo, led by the dedicated Miss Lina Shaker, joined hands with the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City, under the leadership of Mrs. Gihan Faheem, to host their annual charity Iftar—a cherished tradition of generosity and inclusion. This heartfelt event was graciously sponsored by Mrs. Seham Al-Gohary, the esteemed founder of the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City.
The evening welcomed ten distinguished organizations supporting orphaned children and individuals with special needs, embracing a community of over 300 young guests in an atmosphere of love and care. This year, the event was further enriched by the participation of the Yasmine Al Samra Charity Foundation, joining for the first time to extend its compassionate support to children affected by epidermolysis bullosa.
For 27 years, this Iftar has been a beacon of kindness and solidarity, uniting children, club members, and honored guests in an evening filled with warmth, joy, and celebration.
Adding a magical touch, the renowned artist Ahmed Shaker Abdel Latif mesmerized the children with lively performances, engaging games, and uplifting songs, creating unforgettable moments of happiness and laughter.
As the night unfolded, the children’s smiles illuminated the gathering, as they enjoyed exciting activities and thoughtful gifts prepared with love. The entire event was a beautiful reflection of compassion, unity, and shared humanity.
A heartfelt appreciation was extended to our distinguished guests, including:
Mrs. Hanaa El-Sadat, Vice Chairman of District 95 (Egypt & Jordan)
Mrs. Kamla Tawfiq, Deputy National Representative for the district
Mrs. Mona Abu El-Fotouh, Past District Chairman
Mrs. Ghada Rahmy, Editor of District 95
Mrs. Abeer Ezzat, International Organizer
Mrs. Afaf Magid, Past National Representative for the district
Mrs. Hala Hagras, Past District Chaiman
Mrs. Reem Nazih, Past International Organizer
Several Presidents and members of various Inner Wheel Clubs
Seeing the children dance, laugh, and celebrate with boundless joy was a effective reminder of the profound love and care that surrounds them—a testament to a community united in its mission to bring them happiness.
Despite the months of planning and preparation, their radiant smiles make every effort worthwhile. This event is more than a tradition; it is a labor of love, one that we eagerly anticipate each year, driven by the joy it brings to the children—and to all of us.
