District 95 Preliminary Meeting – Egypt & Jordan 2026–2027 [1].
The Preliminary District Meeting for the 2026–2027 [1] Inner Wheel
year was held on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at the Syrian Club in
Alexandria, in a warm atmosphere of friendship and cooperation.
The meeting opened with the Egyptian National Anthem, followed by the
Jordanian Royal Anthem. District Chairman Dr. Mervat Al-Azouni welcomed
National Representative Mrs. Kamla Tawfik, Inner Wheel International
Board Director Mrs. Nahla Qubain, the District Board, and all attendees.
Dr. Mervat emphasized membership growth, forming new clubs, and
humanitarian service, with a focus on combating violence against women,
caring for the elderly and people with Alzheimer’s, and supporting
children’s heart treatment.
Mrs. Kamela highlighted the importance of documenting service hours,
projects, donations, and beneficiaries, and announced that 16 District
95 projects have so far been published on the official Inner Wheel
International Facebook page. The Orange the World campaign, the 2024
Constitution amendments, and the Manila 2027 Conference were also
highlighted.
The meeting concluded with a message from International Inner Wheel
President Ingelög Wyndhamn:
“Let your organization grow and flourish, spread joy and happiness
among its members, and retain your members.”
The gathering ended with remarks by former District Editor Mrs. Nuha
Asfour, followed by lunch and music in a joyful atmosphere of friendship
and togetherness.
