Orange for Hope: Supporting the “Safe Homes” Project with a Visit to
SOS Children’s Village
On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence
Against Women and World Children’s Day, and while wearing the orange
ribbon—symbolizing sunrise and new beginnings—the President of the
Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia, Mrs. Hanan Aghabi, together with
the Vice President of District 95 (Egypt and Jordan), Ms. Alia Alyan,
accompanied by Club Secretary Nazi Fares and Board Member Azza Hammouda,
visited the SOS Children’s Village in the Tabrbour area. This visit
came as part of the club’s ongoing sustainable initiative: “Safe
Homes.”
The Safe Homes project stands as a vital refuge for abused women and
their children, offering a secure and nurturing environment where they
can regain family stability and receive essential psychological and
social support.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Village Director Ms. Hadeel
Al-Faqih, Project Director Ms. Monda, and Dr. Osam Bani Hani, the Family
Care Coordinator. They provided an in-depth overview of the village’s
programs and the comprehensive follow-up mechanisms implemented with
families and partner entities inside and outside the village.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Club President extended a financial
contribution in support of the women benefiting from the Safe Homes
program, reaffirming the Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia’s
steadfast commitment to empowering women, protecting children, and
championing safer futures for all.
