IWC of Nasr City Supports Inclusion on the International Day of Persons
with Disabilities

Under the theme “Step Up and Lead by Example,” the Inner Wheel Club
of Nasr City participated on Saturday, December 6, in a celebration held
at City Club Shebin El-Kom in Monufia Governorate, in support of the
“My Family, My Strength” initiative. The event was organized on the
occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, under
the patronage of Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi, First Lady of Egypt, the
National Council for Persons with Disabilities, and the Committee for
the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

The celebration witnessed the participation of several Inner Wheel clubs
from District 95 (Egypt & Jordan), chaired by Mrs. Hanaa El-Sadat, in
addition to Rotary clubs from District 2451 Egypt, chaired by Dr. Hossam
Farahat.

Approximately 270 persons with disabilities from various associations,
special education schools, the Al Nour wal Amal Association, and their
families attended the event. The program aimed to support and empower
participants and enhance their inclusion in society through a variety of
cultural, artistic, and sports activities, including painting,
photography, and music, as well as the featured sport of darts. The
activity highlighted darts as an inclusive sport that persons with
disabilities can practice alongside their peers and participate in
official championships, especially following Egypt’s victory in
securing the hosting rights for the 2026 World Darts Championship.

The Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City was represented at the celebration by
Mrs. Mona El-Gemeiy, Vice District Chairman.
