Joint Cooperation Meeting to Support Sustainable Environmental Projects
Under the theme “ Step Up and Lead by Example ,” Mrs. Omima
El-Gaish, President of Inner Wheel Lotus, and Mrs. Nazik Al-Alfi, Former
President of the Club and Representative of the Farouk El-Baz
Foundation, met with Mr. Abdel Hakim Al-Waer, Assistant Director-General
and Regional Representative for the Near East and North Africa at the
Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), along with former Governor
Abdel Hamid Al-Awa and Mr. Majed Zakari, representatives of Rotary
International.
The meeting focused on strengthening joint cooperation to support
sustainable environmental projects in Egypt, including rooftop farming,
agricultural waste recycling, and mangrove ecosystem restoration.
Discussions also covered phased implementation mechanisms and future
expansion plans to ensure a lasting and sustainable impact.
