Awareness Initiative to End Violence Against Women and Children.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, under the inspiring theme “Step Up and
Lead by Example,” which encourages every woman to be a source of
inspiration and positive change, a powerful initiative was launched,
reflecting a strong commitment to building a better world.
As part of the global effort to end violence against women and children,
the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo, led by Mrs. Rania El Kashif,
organized a meaningful awareness meeting at Wateen Sheryan Al-Hayah
Association in El Marg, one of Egypt’s underserved areas.
The event provided a strong platform for voices of change, where Mrs.
Nihal El Bakry, Past Deputy National Representative, and Mrs. Shahira
Seif El Nasr, Chairperson of Wateen Association, shared valuable
insights on protecting children from harassment, a serious threat to
their innocence.
Emphasizing that the family is the first line of defense in protecting
children, Mrs. Nihal El Bakry delivered a message of hope to fifty
women, highlighting the importance of building trust with
children—listening with empathy, guiding with love, and empowering
them with confidence and self-protection skills. The session also
stressed the importance of teaching children about their bodies and
personal boundaries from as early as the age of three, enabling them to
defend their rights with confidence.
Online harassment was also addressed, with practical guidance offered to
parents on monitoring internet use and ensuring children’s safety in
the digital world. Every small step, the speakers emphasized,
contributes to building a safer and stronger community.
This initiative went beyond awareness and achieved tangible impact. On
behalf of the club, Mrs. Nihal El Bakry donated 5,000 EGP in cash to the
women attending the session, offering both moral and financial support.
In addition, the club fully sponsored two brides from El Marg, with a
total contribution of 100,000 EGP, helping them begin new lives filled
with hope and dignity.
The event was not merely a meeting, but a true spark for
change—calling on everyone to step up, lead by example, and work
toward a world free from violence, where children can grow up safe and
secure.
