Club Supports Dana Village Health Unit
Beneficiaries 12,000 patients monthly.
Under the theme “Step Up and Lead by Example,” thw IWC
ofAlexandriaMediterranean, headed by Mrs. Heba Abouelnasr and Honorary
Secretary Mrs. Hoda Arafa, conducted an official visit to the Dana
Village Health Unit, which was selected as the Club’s main project for
the previous year.
As part of its commitment to improving healthcare services, the Club
provided the unit with essential medical equipment, installed a civil
protection system, renovated the bathrooms, repaired aluminum fixtures
across all four floors, and installed new glass panels. These
enhancements enabled the health unit to obtain GAHAR accreditation,
qualifying it for inclusion in the National Health Insurance System.
The purpose of the visit was to follow up on the efficiency and proper
operation of the newly installed equipment, assess the cleanliness of
the facility, identify maintenance needs for older equipment, support
the unit with additional medical devices, and renew patient beds.
The Inner Wheel Mediterranean remains committed to continuing its
support and cooperation with the Dana Village Health Unit to ensure the
delivery of high-quality healthcare services. The unit serves a densely
populated area, with an average of approximately 12,000 patients per
month.
This initiative reflects Inner Wheel’s dedication to sustainable
community service and its ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare
standards in underserved communities.
