Supporting Pediatric Cancer Care with Essential Surgical Equipment
In alignment with the year’s theme “ Step Up and Lead by Example ”
On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria East
led by Ms. Magda Salam and accompanied by the club’s Honorary
Secretary, Ms. Nevin Shehaib, visited Borg El Arab University Hospital
– Children’s Cancer Center to deliver a bone drill used in
orthopedic surgeries, along with two batteries and a charger. They also
provided a German-made air tourniquet, used to control blood flow during
surgical procedures.
They were welcomed by Ms. Saeeda Mohamed, Public Relations Officer at
the Alexandria Children’s Cancer Hospital Association, and Dr. Mahmoud
Nasser, an orthopedic surgeon at the hospital, who inspected and tested
the equipment to ensure its quality.
Both expressed their deep appreciation for the support of the Inner
Wheel Club of East Alexandria and its valuable contribution in enabling
the hospital to carry out vital surgical operations.
