

Visit of Mrs. Nora Fayek D95 Chairman to Yasmin El-Samra Charitable Foundation
Yasmin El-Samra Charitable Foundation, DEBRA-Egypt celebrated with EB patients and their families, the International Awareness Week for Epidermolysis Bullosa rare skin disease 2022, October 25th – 31st
On Saturday, October 29th, 2022, at Sea Gull Boat at 12 noon, Mrs Nora Fayek Chairman of D95 Egypt and Jordan and Mrs Ashnadelle Helmy PIIWBM attended a charitable and entertaining party for more than 200 patients suffering from a very rare skin disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa and their families in Egypt and some Arab countries.
Mrs Hanaa Elsadat an Inner Wheel member who was honored with Margaret Golding Award in 2022 is the founder of Yasmine Al-Samra Charitable Foundation, the name of her late daughter Yasmin who passed away in 2012.
The foundation established in 2014, started with 20 EB patients, and now they reached 400 EB. It supports these patients with all medical supplies and all surgeries they needed.
The event’s objective was to celebrate the children undergoing treatment for this ferocious disease that attacks their fragile skin since birth and to create an opportunity for families to bond together and for children to socialize with others with the same ailment.
The ceremony lasted for four hours, included a number of various artistic performances, clowns, magician and singers.
Numerous friends, officials, celebrities from all fields as well as entertainers joined the EB children and their families in a great show of solidarity and support. A major TV channel relayed the event and interviewed supporters of the Foundation.
The EB children sang special songs and presented flowers as a thankful to Mama Hanaa El-Sadat whom they love and adore .
Mrs. Elsadat is also a member of the Executive Board Committee of Debra International Foundation.
