Visit of District 95 Egypt & Jordan Chairman to the Sustainable projects of IWC of Cairo West
5/4/2021 – Based on the invitation of the Inner Wheel club of Cairo West, Mrs. Mona Aref Chairman of District 95 Egypt & Jordan visited the sustainable projects of the club. She was accompanied by members of the executive committee, Mrs. Zeinab Taki Past Chairman, Mrs. Riri Kotb, Mrs. Soha Shams, the honorary secretary, and some of the club’s members.
First, the delegation visited Al-Qasr Al-Aini Hospital and the Oncology Center where they were received by Dr.Heba Azam head of the department and Dr. Rasha Kamal. We must underline that IWC of Cairo West fully supports the diagnostic unit of the breast cancer department.
After that, the delegation visited Heliopolis Public Library where they activated the Chairman’s initiative (Knowledge is light and Reading is Life).
Mrs. Mona Aref offered many children books to this cultural edifice and was briefed on the various cultural activities that the library offers to both children and adults, including drawing, writing, computer courses and artistic competitions. The District Chairman praised these unprecedented cultural activities.
Then, they visited Dar Al-Hana Orphanage in Mohandessin area, supported for years by IWC of Cairo West. The orphanage lodge more than 80 orphans covering all ages to university education and graduation stages and seeking job opportunities for them. It is more than a nursing home.
One has to emphases that IWC of Cairo West supervise several care associations:
Awladi Association in Maadi, and
The Right to Life Association for people with special needs.
The tour, which began at nine o’clock in the morning, ended with a meeting in New Giza where the rest of the public activities and projects were presented. The meeting gathered many former District Presidents, representatives of nationalities, members of the district boards of directors and IW institutions.
It is worth noting that IWC West participated in this year events and initiatives called by the chief leader, Mona Aref since the beginning of the year including:

Tahya Misr project
A Peace Tree was planted to bless and encompass all the club’s activities
The District Chairman praised the tremendous implemented efforts despite the Corona pandemic and indicated that she did not expect all these achievements and strong projects.
