The IWC of El Nile held “Ladies of Art” , the first exhibition to include the works of artists who are IW members.
The Inner Wheel Club of El Nile held “Ladies of Art,” the first exhibition to include the works of artists who are IW members. “Ladies of Art” was conceived and organized by IWC of El Nile president, Mrs. Amal Pasha, under the auspices of D95 (Egypt and Jordan) Chairman, Mrs. Nora Fayek. Writer Mrs. Mona Ragab inaugurated the exhibition, in which ten female artists from the various IW clubs participated during the month of women and art.
The opening was attended by D95 Chairman Mrs. Nora Fayek,PIIW BD Mrs. Laila Al-Aswad, IPDC Mrs. Hala Hagras, Honorary Secretary Mrs. Azza El Mufti, ISO Mrs. Rime Nazih, PDC Mrs. Awatef Al-Nasharti, as well as the incoming Chairman (23-24) Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Fotouh and the incoming Honorary Secretary Mrs. Omnia Hanna.
Also in attendance were Ms. Hanaa El Sadat, journalist writer Mrs.Nahed Hamza, journalist writer Wafaa Al-Ghazali, editor-in-chief of Akhbar Al-Youm, Eng. Soha El Kadi, members of IWC El Nile, and many guests.
One of the exhibition’s objectives is to deepen the role of art in developing friendship among the members of the Inner Wheel Clubs, and to encourage the practice of business and artistic activities among the members. Each artist participated with four paintings that expressed the role of women in the life of the family and society. The methods of artistic expression in the paintings represented different schools of art.
The artists who participated in the exhibition were Amal Pasha, artist and exhibitor Laila El Aswad, Azza Megahed, Houria Farghali, Zainab Amer, Jaida Zakaria, Sanaa Al-Serougy, Sonia El Shazly, Soheir Morcos and Maha Bedeis
