The meeting was opened with the Egyptian anthem followed by the Jordanian Royal anthem.
Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, District chairman began the meeting by welcoming the National Representative Mrs. Nahla Sweiss, the distinguished Jordanian executive council, the former heads of the District, the club heads, and all the honorable attendees.
The National Representative, Mrs. Nahla Sweiss, delivered her speech welcoming all attendees.
The speech started with the slogan of the year chosen by International Inner Wheel president Mrs. Trish Douglas
– Shine a Light , which emphasis on the contribution of women and girls in building peace, and the scientific research on health and physical safety.
– The International Innerwil Conference, which will be held in Manchester in May 7-10 / 2024 was mentioned with details of how to join & attend to Shine the light on our District 95.
– The national project adopted by Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh for this year about the environment as the Mega project to be submitted in Manchester Convention.
The District with all clubs in Egypt & Jordan started implementing the project by having 3 important seminars to be held in Cairo Jordan & Alexandria with prominent speakers.
The activity of the House of Culture was mentioned at the international conference.
– Nomination of Mrs. Eman Al-Bashari as a member of IIW Board Director.
-Request a decision for a new club in Alexandria.
– Two ladies were nominated to The Margaret Golding Award:
Ms. Samia Hatata from
Alexandria Club and Mrs. Nevin El Abrashy from Zamalek Club.
Mrs. Nahla the National Representative of D95 concluded her speech with wishes for a successful and distinguished year, and an honorable presence at the international conference in Manchester.
