On January 10th, 2022, IWCs of D95, Egypt and Jordan, celebrated the International Inner Wheel Day.
The 98th Anniversary is celebrated in tribute to the late Lady Margaret Golding who began her vision of women at work on January 10th,1924 at 47 Lower Moseley Street, Manchester where her famous statement: “we shall call it INNER WHEEL” has been uttered. It was the first club founded in the world on January 10, 1924.
This is also in honor of the memory of PIIW Helena Foster (1969-1970) who was the inspiration for the idea of a special day to celebrate the Inner Wheel around the world: “I would like to ask all members of clubs around the world to bond together on the 10th of January, and I chose this special day because it was the 10th of January 1924, which was the founding of the Inner wheel Club of Manchester, England, and I am pleased to share with the members of the Inner Wheel all over the world the joy of joining together to offer service and friendship.
